This skill, called Attack is one of three melee skills that allow you to engage in combat with melee. In general, combat skills should be the top priority to be trained first. It's because you'll require them in the beginning of your first quests and to fight monsters.

The practice of your Attack will improve your accuracy so the greater level you have an increased chance that you'll hit. Additionally, you will have the ability to use higher-quality weapons, which in general give you higher accuracy and more damage. To begin to gain EXP in Attack the first step is to change your attack mode to the Accurate style.

One of the most common misunderstandings for new players to newbies to OSRS game is understanding the function of"attack." Attack skill. It's straightforward at first glance , there's a sword on the skill graphic, so it must increase the damage I get from weapons that are melee or swords right? The answer isyes, sort of. We're here to help you understand the situation with the OSRS Attack Guide and provide you with the most efficient F20 and Members-only strategies to improve your attack skills.

To begin, let's discuss what exactly the Attack ability does. Most players are aware that, in order to utilize certain weapons, a certain minimum attack level has to be met. For example, black or steel weapons can be used as early as level 10, mithril can be employed at levels 20 and it goes on. Weapons with higher levels are a major aspect in determining the amount of damage you deal with when fighting opponents by increasing your maximum hit damage and the average damage you suffer. However you should note that the Attack skill doesn't increase the damage you receive from your hits - instead, it increases your attack accuracy which can improve your overall average damage. What exactly is this skill?

If you've had any experience fighting enemies, you've hit an opponent before and it's resulted in a blue "splash" but with no damage done. This happens when your opponent's Defense skill blocks the attack, causing the attack to "miss." It is your attack accuracy is what can increase your chance of doing damage instead of "splashing" such as this. This means that the greater your attack ability is more advanced, the greater your accuracy at attacking and consequently the greater damage you'll sustain on average when fighting opponents as you're more likely to be able to deal damage rather than splashing a 0 for each hit. After we've figured out the importance of Attack, let's break down the skill guide.

 Getting Started

Be sure to ensure you're using the right attacking style, as this will improve your attack experience. It is possible to level your attack with any melee weapon you'd like There are generally accepted best practices for gear sets as well as power leveling:

Make sure you use the most powerful scimitar that you can. Scimitars are more destructive than normal swords, are much faster, and provide a better attack bonus than daggers.

 Wear your Amulet of Power

 Take an abundance of foods!

 Levels 1-20

In fact, killing Cows as well as Goblins in Lumbridge can be the best and most popular way to train at lower levels. Both have a very low defense, and they are easily accessible from your Home Teleport which means anyone can access there. However, if the areas aren't crowded enough, or you're looking to take just a few minutes to experience better training you can try killing the Monks to the west of Edgeville. The monks have the ability to regenerate themselves and are not the same strength as Goblins or Cows as well. You can successfully train here until you reach level 20 unlike Cows and Goblins with which you'll see diminishing returns after level 10. If you've stayed in Lumbridge for training, make your way toward the south, and slaughter Giant rats until you reach level 20.

The range of levels is 20-40

We suggest two options for training levels 20 to 30. If you're in Lumbridge or want to go that way, take out Giant Frogs from the floodplain, where you will find the Giant rats. They aren't very damaging and are very easy to kill. However, you'll be forced to run to fight them as they're spread out and you might want to do some world trying to find a less populous one that has little competition. Your other option is Barbarians located in Barbarian village to the west of Varrock. If you're in Varrock you could want to finish the Stronghold of Security if you have not already, to obtain your 10,000 GP and Combat Boots. Barbarians are multi-combat enemies that means you can take on the same opponents like other gamers, which is favored by certain players. You'll also have access the Bank in Varrock and the power fishers located just to the east of the village in which you may be able to grab some food for free if you're in need of it.

 Levels 40 to 60

The preferred method Hill Giants, found in the Edgeville Dungeon. These are a favorite of numerous players due to their lower defense and high loot, but they're also formidable opponents and can attack anyone lower than Combat level 57 which is great for afk training but is an issue if you're continually running short of food. If your Strength and Defense aren't quite at par then you might prefer Zombies along with Flesh Crawlers on second level of Stronghold of Security as both are excellent options for afk training and requires less food and energy for players with lower levels.

 Level 60+

There are a variety of options available beginning at level 60 to train, depending on your playing style, objectives, and skills. If you're looking to find great loot and have the Defense skill to boot Look at Ogress Warriors in the Corsair Cove Dungeon south of Yanille. The monsters drop a range of amazing gear, including Mithril full and med helms as well as Toadflax and Ranarr seeds, and all sorts of gems in addition to massive bones. It is possible to trade these items into a second account through another game client, or bank them on your own (though this will be more time-consuming) or employ high alchemy for training at the expense of an encumbrance to your GP for every hour. If you choose to make money from the items, it's one of the best moneymaking techniques for improving your combat abilities.

If GP isn't an issue for you, you'd rather work as efficiently as you can, and if you're blessed with a Prayer level of at minimum 43, you'll likely prefer the Greater demon-training in the Demonic Ruins of the Wilderness. You'll need monk's robes and an amulet of power or strength, and a rune scimitar, then , stand in front of the demon's spawn and allow him to strike at you. Be alert for PKers and make sure that you're paying close attention to leave the area and return when you are able to leave when the Demon stops attacking you.

If you'd like to maximize your hour of service, the giant Spiders from the Stronghold of Security are for you. You'll need a solid defense to ensure that this is a worthwhile or a combination of potions and prayer, but you'll never find more efficient exp per hour than this one.
