Art handlers are responsible for the safe transportation, installation, and storage of artwork. They handle artwork ranging from framed prints to large-scale sculptures, and they are essential to the art world. Without art handlers, art galleries and museums would be unable to display artwork.
Art handlers are skilled professionals who are knowledgeable in art handling and safety procedures. They must be able to move large works of art without damaging them. Art handlers typically use custom-made cradles, carts, and straps to ensure that artwork is secure and stable during transport. They are also adept at packing artwork for safe transit.
